●About Activities

Start time

Start time differs between Chitose Bibi River and Jozankei Toyohira River.
Please be on time.
If you have a preferred time depending on your schedule, please inquire at the time of reservation.

  • Chitose Bibi River Canoeing: New Chitose Airport Hokkaido Tour Desk (Domestic Arrivals Lobby 1F) to Event Location (roundtrip)

Booking

Reservations are required for both Chitose Bibi River and Jozankei Toyohira River. Please make reservations on the reservation page of each plan or by phone. Except for early morning canoeing, reservations can be made on the day of the tour depending on availability, but we recommend early reservations to be sure.
* Minors must apply with the consent of a parent or guardian.

Cancellation Fee

Except for cancellations due to inclement weather, the following cancellation fees will apply for cancellations made by the customer.

Up to 2 days prior to the date of use No charge

Participation by children

Children 3 years old and up are welcome to participate, but must be able to sit quietly. Please be sure the child is accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Children between the ages of 3 and preschool are charged at the infant rate, elementary school students are charged at the child rate, and junior high school students and older are charged at the adult rate.

Participation by dogs

Only canoeing on the Chitose City Bibi River and Jozankei Toyohira Rivers allow participation by dogs together with owners (free of charge for dogs), but dogs must wear a life jacket, which can be rented for JPY1,000 per jacket (tax inclusive).

For Beginners

The average depth of both the Chitose City Bibi River and Jozankei Toyohira River is about a meter, and the current is gentle. Instructors will provide instructions and guidance at the beginning of the experience, so beginners are welcome to participate without any worries.

What to wear and bring

There are no rules or restrictions to clothing. Since this is a water activity, it is better to wear clothes that are easy to move in and that can get a little dirty.

  • Please remove all jewelry and watches (insurance does not cover them in case of damage or loss).
  • In case of rain, rain gear is available for rent free of charge, but we recommend that you bring a change of clothes, etc. (We can also take you to bathing facilities in the area)

Notes

  • The tour may be canceled if the staff deems it dangerous due to weather or water conditions (rain or shine).
  • A consent form must be signed prior to participation in the tour.
  • Minors must apply with the consent of a parent or guardian.
  • Participants under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian or have written consent (please request at the time of reservation).
  • Our staff will guide you for your safety, but please be aware that you are fully responsible for your own actions during the tour.

Rental Items

  • Please be sure to inspect the rental items at the time of rental.(If there is no notification at the time of rental, the rental item will be deemed to be in good condition.)
  • We do not accept size exchange or product exchange after the start of use.
  • Once rented, the items will be kept by the customer until returned.

Theft / Damage

Insurance is available for rented items to cover theft and damage. Each customer may purchase insurance for their usage period by
paying ¥500 (tax inclusive) at the time of rental, although doing so is optional. Note that if you opt not to purchase insurance, you will be charged for the value of the item in the rare event that it is damaged or stolen.

Change of rental period

Extension of the rental period is not allowed without our approval prior to the end of the rental period. If the rental period is extended with our approval, an additional fee will be charged. If you wish to shorten the rental period, please notify us by the time of rental. In the event that the rental period is shortened after delivery, the rental fee will not be refunded due to reasons beyond our control, including but not limited to, force majeure, natural disasters, transportation disruptions and acts of providence.

Cancellation Fee

In case of cancellation for the customer’s convenience, the following cancellation fees will apply.

Pickup at New Chitose Airport or Rusutsu Store, delivery from Niseko Store, delivery to hotels in Sapporo

Cancellations will be accepted between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. for telephone calls, and on the date of receipt by our company for emails.
*Please be sure to call us for any changes or cancellations on the day before or on the day of your reservation.
*Please note that you will be responsible for any bank transfer charges in the event of a refund.


If the take bus or boarding date is changed less than 7 days prior to the boarding date, the reservation will be cancelled and the above cancellation fees will apply.

On the day

Please gather at the designated meeting place at the following time. Please tell the bus crew/staff your name for registration.

  • Airport: 15 minutes before bus departure time
  • Other departure points: 10 minutes before the bus departure time

*We will make every effort to operate the bus on time, but there may be delays due to road and weather conditions.
*If we are unable to confirm the arrival of passengers after the departure time, we will not wait for them.
Please note that no confirmation will be made to the hotel front desk.
*Please note that all courses require reservations, and that the bus will not stop at any boarding point (meeting point) or drop-off point for which no reservation has been made.

Operation and response to inclement weather and road conditions

  • In the event of flight delays or cancellations, bus departure times may be adjusted as an emergency measure. If a delay or cancellation of a flight makes it impossible for a passenger to board the bus on the scheduled date, the bus may be transferred to the next day or later, or another means of transportation may be provided (with any costs incurred to be borne by the passenger). Please note, however, that we are not responsible for securing a replacement flight or alternative transportation in such a situation.
  • If the connection to the aircraft is in jeopardy, we may suggest the usage of other means of transportation, such as a stopover at the nearest JR station. Any costs incurred as a result of this will be the responsibility of the passenger.
  • The course of the tour may be changed or delayed if normal operation is not expected. In some cases, we may provide other means of transportation, but the customer will be responsible for any costs associated with such transportation. Please note that we will not be held responsible if, due to unavoidable circumstances, we are unable to arrive at the airport in time for the departure of the flight.

Precautions for boarding

  • Smoking is not permitted on board
  • Seats are unreserved, but seats may be assigned when it is full.
  • Please set your cell phone to silent mode and refrain from talking on the phone.
  • Please fasten your seatbelt.
  • Skis and board boots are not allowed on board.
  • Only ski equipment and one other piece of luggage can be stored in the trunk.
  • If you bring skis or snowboards, please put them in a special bag or case
    (as they may be damaged or broken during loading/unloading and driving).
  • Please refrain from any activities that may cause inconvenience to other passengers around you.

Notes

  • If a rest facility is not available due to operating periods, operating hours, etc., it may be passed over or an alternative facility may be used.
  • Ski buses are generally available only for guests staying at the hotel in the boarding area.
  • Depending on the number of passengers and the location of embarkation and disembarkation, the bus may take a separate ventilation time (5 to 10 minutes) in addition to during rest stops.
  • Minors must apply for the tour with the consent of their parents or guardians.

●About Rent a car

Reservation / Application

Reservations can be made via our website.
*Reservations can be made by anyone other than the driver. However, under Amuse Rentacar rental agreement, reservations must be made with the driver’s name clearly indicated, so please confirm the name of the person who will be driving (visiting the store) before making a reservation.
*Only those between the ages of 21 and 65 years old are allowed to drive.

Web booking

  • Accepted: 3 days prior to the date of use
  • Payment method: Credit card pre-payment only

In case of change or cancellation, the applicant (person responsible for the contract) must contact us by e-mail or phone.
Changes or cancellations by anyone other than the applicant will not be accepted.
Cancellations will be accepted from 10:00-18:00 for telephone calls, and in the case of e-mails, we consider the date we receive the e-mail as the cancellation date.
*Please call us for any changes or cancellations on the day before or on the day of the rental.
*At the time of refund, please be aware that the money transfer fees will have to be covered by the customer.

Rental method (Reception)

There are two types of rentals. At our location (AMUSE RENTACAR Chitose) or at a designated location in Chitose.
Rental rates will vary depending on whether you rent at AMUSE RENTACAR Chitose or at a designated location in Chitose City.

  • AMUSE RENTACAR Chitose: You can come to AMUSE RENTACAR Chitose directly, or if you arrive at New Chitose Airport, there is a free pick-up service between the airport and AMUSE RENTACAR Chitose (reservation required).
  • For rentals at a designated location in Chitose City: Our staff will bring the vehicle to the location you specified at the time of reservation.

New Chitose Airport (CTS) ⇔ Store Shuttle Services Please contact us when you arrive at airport.
*If we are unable to contact you after the agreed upon time, we may have no choice but to cancel your reservation.

Driver’s Licenses

The mid-size vehicles offered in this service can be driven with a regular Japanese driver’s license.

For international and foreign driver’s licenses, there are certain conditions and documents required.

Return Method

The return method and location differ for rentals at AMUSE RENTACAR Chitose and rentals at designated locations in Chitose.

  • Renting at AMUSE RENTACAR Chitose: Please return the car to AMUSE RENTACAR Chitose. Free transportation to and from New Chitose Airport is also available (reservation required).
  • When renting at a designated location in Chitose City: Please return the car to either AMUSE RENTACAR Chitose or a designated location in Chitose (information will be provided at the time of rental).

*Please return the car with a full tank of fuel when returning it (with confirmation of fueling receipt).

Precautions during rental

  • Smoking is not allowed in the car.
  • Please drive safely with the driver and all passengers wearing seat belts.
  • Drivers are obligated to use child seats when traveling with children below six (6) years old.
  • Please use the parking lot to avoid parking violations.

Notice

  • If you are going to be late for the return time, please call us as soon as possible.
    *We cannot accept an extension if the next reservation is already made.
  • In the event of an accident, the first priority is to rescue the injured and contact the police, then contact us.
  • If you have committed a parking violation, please follow the police request and complete the prescribed procedures before returning the car.
